Digital x-rays reveal greater detail while using only 1/16 the radiation used in traditional x-ray films.

A digital x-ray examination may reveal:

• Small areas of decay between the teeth
• Infections in the bone
• Abscesses or cysts
• Developmental abnormalities
• Some types of tumors

Finding and treating dental problems at an early stage can save time, money and unnecessary pain. It can detect damage to oral structures not visible during a regular exam. If you have a hidden tumor, or even a blockage in a carotid artery, radiographs may even help save your life.
